About the Character
Vecna, originally named Henry Creel and later unveiled as Subject 001, is a fictional character who serves as the primary antagonist in the TV series "Stranger Things," crafted by the Duffer Brothers. Jamie Campbell Bower and Raphael Luce jointly portray the character as Henry Creel / Subject 001, making his initial appearance in the fourth season. In this installment, Vecna emerges as a malevolent entity from the Upside Down, tormenting his victims by revealing horrifying visions of their past traumas before subjecting them to a brutal demise. As the fourth season unfolds, Vecna is gradually unveiled as the ruler of the Upside Down and the mastermind orchestrating the series' ominous events that have plagued the town of Hawkins, tracing back to the disappearance of Will Byers.
